Introduction

Whether you're just getting started or have years of experience, tracking your bets is one of the most effective ways to understand your performance, build discipline, and make more informed decisions. Without clear records, it's easy to lose sight of how much you’re winning or losing - and where your profits (or losses) are really coming from.

BetTrackr makes this process simple. It brings all your bets and bookmaker balances into one place, automatically calculates your profit and return on investment, and provides insights that help you identify trends, optimise your strategy, and stay in control.

Key Features

  • Track bets - manually, via import, or with the Chrome Extension for one-click tracking directly on bookmaker sites.
  • Import from multiple sources - BonusBank tools, Sportsbet transaction exports, Betfair API sync, CSV templates, and more.
  • Manage bookmaker accounts - view all balances (including bonus and bonus cash) in one place with automatic updates.
  • Dashboard & analytics - profit, ROI, win rate, bonus retention, mug bet rate, and more - filterable by date, bookmaker, bet type, and tag.
  • Events - browse upcoming sport and racing events, link bets to specific runners, and get automatic results.
  • Betfair integration - sync bets and balances, and place bets on Betfair directly from the Events page.
  • Back/Lay Calculator - built-in tool to quickly calculate lay stakes and expected profit.
  • TrackrSlips - share your bets as shareable images or links.
  • Bookmaker Context - filter the entire app to a single bookmaker with the floating context switcher.
  • Profit Goals - set weekly, monthly, yearly, and all-time profit targets with notifications.

Our goal is to help you stay accountable, organised, and data-driven - whether you're a casual punter or a seasoned matched bettor.

Chrome Extension

The BetTrackr Chrome Extension is a companion tool that lets you track bets directly from supported bookmaker and matched betting sites - without leaving the page. It also gives you a quick-look popup dashboard from your browser toolbar.

Download v4.6.1

What It Does

  • Adds "Track with BetTrackr" buttons directly on bookmaker websites - click once to capture the bet details automatically.
  • Popup dashboard from your browser toolbar - view profit, ROI, win rate, pending bets, recent results, and bookmaker balances at a glance.
  • Verified bets - bets tracked from a bookmaker site automatically capture the bookmaker's internal bet ID. A bet with a linked internal ID is marked as Verified, meaning it is linked to an official receipt on the bookmaker website. This provides proof of bet placement and helps ensure your tracking is accurate. The verified status is shown on the extension's track button and on the bet detail in the app.
  • BonusBank integration - import bets directly from BonusBank calculators and tools (Back/Lay, Advanced Back/Lay, 2Up, Dutch Calculator).
  • TrackrSlips - share your tracked bets as TrackrSlips directly from the track button context menu on the bookmaker site.
  • Balance management - update bookmaker account balances when tracking bets from within the extension.
  • Bet management - edit bet status, tags, and details without opening the full app.

Tracking Your Bets

Staying on top of your betting performance starts with accurate and consistent tracking. Whether you're aiming to refine your strategy or simply understand where your profits come from, BetTrackr offers multiple flexible ways to track your bets - no spreadsheets or guesswork required.

You can view all of your bets at a glance on the Bets page.

Importing Bets

Bets can be conveniently imported from a growing range of supported sources:

Any Spreadsheet (.xlsx or .csv) Import bets from virtually any spreadsheet or CSV file by mapping its columns to BetTrackr's bet fields. Common formats are detected automatically. See Importing Any Spreadsheet below.
BonusBank Import from BonusBank spreadsheets, calculators, and tools - including the Back/Lay Calculator, ATM, Horse Power, Dutching Tool, Dutching Calculator, and 2UP Software. You can also import your existing BonusBank Bet Tracker spreadsheet (.xlsx or .csv).
Betfair Sync bets directly from your linked Betfair account via the API. Select a settled date range to import specific periods (up to 3 months in the past).
TrackrSlip Import shared bets from a TrackrSlip URL.
Mobile App (Sportsbet, BetR, Dabble) Import bets by sharing a bet screenshot from a supported bookmaker's mobile app. See Mobile App Import below for details.
Sportsbet Transactions Import from a Sportsbet transaction summary export (.csv). Only single bets and basic information are supported due to the limited format of the Sportsbet export.

You can also track bets directly from bookmaker websites using the BetTrackr Chrome Extension.

You can also apply Bet Tags during import and use the Dry Run option to validate your import before committing.

Importing Any Spreadsheet

Not using one of the formats above? You can import bets from almost any spreadsheet (.xlsx) or CSV file by telling BetTrackr which columns hold which bet details. Choose your file on the import screen and BetTrackr reads it, then helps you line up the columns.

  • Automatic detection - if your file matches a known format, it's recognised automatically and the column mapping is filled in for you. Just review it and import. Auto-detected formats are the Bonusbank Bet Tracker, The System, and Dabble Statement spreadsheets.
  • Manual mapping - otherwise, pick the sheet (for multi-sheet workbooks) and the header row, then match each bet field to a column from your file. Required fields are marked with * and must be mapped before you can import.
  • Default values - for fields like Bet Type, Status, and Tags you can set a default that is applied to every row where the cell is blank.
  • Live preview - as you map columns, each field shows a sample value from your file and exactly how the first row would be imported, so you can confirm everything lines up before committing.

Use the Dry Run option (on by default) to validate your file and preview the results without saving any bets. When you're happy, turn it off and import for real. Imports run in the background, and a View Last Import Report link summarises what was imported, skipped, or flagged. Files must be under 25 MB.

Importing a Spreadsheet by Email

You can import a spreadsheet without opening the app by emailing it to [email protected] from your BetTrackr account's email address. This works only for the auto-detected formats - the Bonusbank Bet Tracker, The System, and Dabble Statement spreadsheets - since there's no mapping step over email. For any other spreadsheet, use the in-app importer above.

  1. Attach a single .csv or .xlsx file and send it to [email protected].
  2. We detect the format and reply with a dry-run report showing the detected format and how many bets would import - nothing is saved yet.
  3. To import for real, send the spreadsheet again with import for real anywhere in the message body.

The reply email links to your full import report. Only one import runs at a time, and emailed imports respect the same detection and reporting as the in-app importer.

Mobile App Import

You can import bets directly from supported bookmaker mobile apps by sharing a screenshot of your bet slip via email.

  1. Open the bookmaker's mobile app and go to My Bets.
  2. Select the bet you want to import and tap Share.
  3. Email the shared image to [email protected].

The following bookmakers are supported, each with specific requirements:

Bookmaker Requirements
SportsbetSportsbet Make sure Show stake information is enabled when sharing.
BetRBetR Set the email subject to the stake amount (e.g. 5 or 10.50). BetR doesn't include stake information in their image.
DabbleDabble Set the email subject to the stake amount (e.g. 5 or 10.50). Dabble doesn't include stake information in their image. Daily Dabble bets can be automatically tagged - configure this in your User Settings.

Notes & Expected Value

Each bet has optional Notes and Expected Value (EV) fields. Use notes to record additional context about a bet - such as the promotion it's linked to or your reasoning. The EV field lets you record the expected value of the bet, which feeds into the EV Taken metric on the dashboard for tracking your long-term edge.

Betfair Starting Price & Closing Line Value

For bets linked to an Event runner, BetTrackr records the Betfair Starting Price (BSP) - the reconciled price on the Betfair Exchange at the moment the market goes in-play. Because it's an exchange price with the bookmaker margin removed, the BSP is widely regarded as the fairest available estimate of a runner's true chance, making it an ideal benchmark for the odds you took.

Comparing the odds you took against the BSP gives your Closing Line Value (CLV):

  • Back bets beat the line when your odds are higher than the BSP: Odds / BSP − 1.
  • Lay bets beat the line when your odds are lower than the BSP: 1 − Odds / BSP.

A consistently positive CLV is one of the strongest signs of a genuine long-term edge. The BSP column can be toggled on from the column options on the Bets page, and the aggregate Avg. CLV and Beat Line % metrics are available on the Dashboard. Only bets whose selection matches an event runner with a reconciled BSP are included.

Bet Groups

Bet Groups let you link multiple related bets together so their profit, ROI, and bonus retention are calculated as a single unit. This is essential for matched betting where a back bet and lay bet form a pair.

There are two ways to create a bet group:

  • Back/Lay Calculator - when you save bets from the Back/Lay Calculator, the back and lay bets are automatically grouped together.
  • Linked Bet on the bet form - when creating or editing a bet, use the Add Linked Bet option to attach a lay bet (or any related bet) directly. The linked bet is added to the same group with its own stake, odds, and bookmaker.

Grouped bets appear as collapsible rows on the Bets page, showing the combined profit and individual bet details within the group.

Group Types
Bonus Turnover A bonus bet paired with a lay bet for turnover purposes. Used in bonus retention calculations.
Other Any other grouping of related bets.
Why Bet Groups Matter

The Bonus Retention metric on the dashboard is calculated at the group level - it compares the total profit of the group against the bonus stake within the group. Only groups with at least two bets and a non-zero bonus stake are included, giving you an accurate picture of how effectively you're converting bonus bets into profit.

Bet Tags

Bet Tags allow you to apply personal custom categorisation to your bets so their profit/performance can be analysed separately. Some common use cases include: following a professional tipster or punting page, trying out a new strategy, or tracking specific promotions/boosts e.g. "2nd/3rd Money Back", "Neds Backup" etc.

To create and manage Bet Tags, click the + menu in the header and select New Tag. You can apply tags when creating or editing bets, during import, or in bulk on the Bets page.

TrackrSlips

TrackrSlips let you share your bets with others. From any bet, you can generate a shareable image or link - perfect for sharing with friends or on social media. Recipients can import shared TrackrSlips directly into their own BetTrackr account using the import function.

  • Download the TrackrSlip as an image
  • Copy the share URL to your clipboard
  • Use your device's native share menu
  • Optionally sign your TrackrSlips with your username

Automatic Bet Resulting

When you link a bet to an Event and select a specific runner from the dropdown, your Pending bet will be automatically resulted as Won or Lost once the event concludes. You'll be notified by email when bets are automatically resulted.

You can disable this feature in your user settings.

Bookmaker Accounts

Managing balances across multiple bookmaker accounts is crucial for staying in control of your betting activity. BetTrackr makes this easy by allowing you to view all your accounts in one place and will automatically keep your balances up to date as you track.

You can view, manage, and add all of your bookmaker accounts on the Bookmakers page.

Adding Bookmaker Accounts

On the Bookmakers page, you can quickly add accounts from a list of popular bookmakers - including all major Australian and international brands. If a bookmaker isn't listed, or if you have multiple accounts with the same bookmaker, you can also create a custom bookmaker account.

Add and manage your accounts on the Bookmakers page.

Automatic Balance Updates

As bets are tracked (except via spreadsheet imports) BetTrackr automatically adjusts the balance (including Bonus and Bonus Cash balances) of the relevant bookmaker account based on the result. This helps you stay on top of your available funds without needing to update balances manually.

You can disable this feature in your user settings.

Bonus Balance (SNR) vs. Bonus Cash Balance (SR)

When bookmakers offer promotions, they usually come in the form of either Bonus Bets (SNR) or Bonus Cash (SR) - and sometimes a mix of both. These balances are tracked separately as they are different to actual real money.

Understanding the difference is key to calculating your potential returns and maximising profit from these offers. Here’s a quick guide to the difference between the two:

Type Description Example
SNR
(Stake Not Returned)
You keep only the winnings from the bet - the stake itself is not returned. A $50 bonus bet at odds of 3.00 returns $100 profit (3.00 x $50 = $150 − $50 stake).
SR
(Stake Returned)
You keep both the stake and the winnings if the bet is successful. A $50 bonus cash bet at odds of 3.00 returns $150 (3.00 x $50), including your stake.

Linking Your Betfair Account

BetTrackr integrates directly with Betfair via a secure OAuth connection. Once linked, you can:

  • Automatically sync new bets hourly
  • Import historical bets (up to last 3 months)
  • Automatically sync your account balance and commission discount %
  • Place bets on Betfair directly from the Events page

For full setup instructions, see Betfair Account Linking in Account Settings.

Deposits & Withdrawals

You can record deposits and withdrawals against any bookmaker account to keep an accurate transaction history. Each transaction automatically updates the bookmaker's balance.

To add a transaction, click the + menu in the header and select New Transaction, or manage transactions directly from a bookmaker's detail page.

Bonus Bets & Deposit Bonuses

BetTrackr helps you track and manage your bonus bets and deposit bonuses across all your bookmaker accounts, so you never miss an opportunity to use them before they expire.

Adding Bonus Bets

Bonus bets can be added in three ways:

  • With a deposit - when adding a deposit transaction, you can optionally attach a deposit bonus by entering the bonus amount and selecting the type (SNR or SR). This creates a Deposit Bonus linked to the transaction.
  • Standalone - on the Bonuses tab of the bookmaker detail page, you can manually add a Bonus Bet with a date, amount, and type (SNR or SR). These are independent of any transaction.
  • Automatically via bet result - when you result a bet as Bonus Refund or Bonus Cash Refund, a bonus bet coupon is automatically created on the same bookmaker account. The bonus amount matches the original stake, and the type is set to SNR or SR respectively. This only happens once per bet - re-saving the bet will not create a duplicate.
Bonus Bet Expiry

When a bonus bet is created, BetTrackr automatically calculates an expiry date based on your Bonus Bet Expiry setting (default: 7 days). You can change this in your user settings. Each bonus bet has one of three statuses:

Active The bonus bet is available to use and has not expired.
Expired The bonus bet was not used before its expiry date.
Used The bonus bet has been placed on a bet. Click "View Bet" to see it.
Using Bonus Bets

When creating or editing a bet, a Bonus dropdown appears if the selected bookmaker has any active bonus bets available. Selecting a bonus bet from the dropdown will automatically set the bet type to Bonus Bet (SNR) or Bonus Bet (SR) and lock the stake to the bonus amount.

Expiry Notifications

BetTrackr sends you a notification (in-app and email) when you have bonus bets expiring in the next 3 days. The notification includes the bonus amount, type, bookmaker, and a direct link to the bookmaker's website so you can use your bonus bet right away.

Wallet

The wallet icon in the header navigation provides a quick overview of your total balance across all bookmaker accounts - without needing to visit the Bookmakers page. Click it to see a breakdown of each account's current balance.

Favourites

You can mark any bookmaker account as a favourite by clicking the star icon on the bookmaker detail page. Favourited bookmakers appear at the top of lists throughout the app, including the bookmaker context switcher and dropdown menus, making them quicker to access.

Bookmaker Tags

Bookmaker Tags let you categorise and group your bookmaker accounts using custom labels. This is useful for organising accounts by strategy, status, or any other criteria - for example, tagging accounts as "Promo Restricted", "New Account", or "High Priority".

To create and manage Bookmaker Tags, click the + menu in the header and select New Tag, then switch to the Bookmaker Tags tab. You can assign tags to individual bookmaker accounts from the bookmaker detail page. Tags can also be used to filter the Bookmakers table.

Bookmaker Table Columns

The bookmaker accounts table shows key metrics for each account at a glance. Here's what each column means:

Column Description
Balance Current real money balance in the account.
Exposure Total funds at risk from pending bets. Shown as a negative value.
Bonus Combined SNR and SR bonus balance for the account.
Profit Total profit/loss from all resulted bets on this account.
Win Rate Percentage of bets won out of all settled bets (won + lost).
Mug Rate Percentage of mug bets placed vs total qualifying bets. A higher mug rate helps your account look like a regular punter and avoid restrictions.
Cashflow Deposit-to-withdrawal ratio. Shows how much you've deposited compared to how much you've withdrawn. A higher percentage means you look more like a regular punter to the bookmaker. Green (100%+) = depositing more than withdrawing. Red (<70%) = heavy withdrawals, account may be at risk of restriction. Deposit more to raise this ratio.

Discover Bookmakers

The Discover section at the bottom of the Bookmakers page shows bookmakers you haven't added yet, ranked by popularity (most bets placed across all users). Each card shows the bookmaker's technology platform, license, and launch date (for recently launched bookmakers). Click a card to add it as a new account.

Bookmaker Context

The floating bookmaker icon on the right side of the screen lets you filter the entire app to a single bookmaker. When active, all pages - dashboard, bets, events - will show data only for the selected bookmaker. A banner at the top of the page confirms which bookmaker you're viewing. Click the icon again to switch or clear the filter.

Events

The Events page lets you browse upcoming and recent sport and racing events. Linking your bets to events enables automatic resulting and gives you event-level analytics.

Browsing Events

Events are split into two tabs:

  • Sport - filter by sport, league, and date to find upcoming matches and competitions.
  • Racing - browse horse, greyhound, and harness racing by country, track, and race date.

Use the "Show my events only" toggle to narrow the list to events you already have bets on.

Event Detail

Clicking on an event opens a detailed view showing:

  • Event name, date, sport/league, and countdown timer
  • Runner/selection list with live Betfair market prices (updated every few seconds)
  • Market status, liquidity, and commission information
  • Event-level analytics - profit, ROI, win rate, turnover, and profit breakdown by bookmaker and bet type

Placing Bets on Betfair

If you have a linked Betfair account, you can place bets directly from the event detail page. Select a runner, enter your stake and odds, and submit the order - all without leaving BetTrackr. You can also tick "Cancel if Unmatched" to automatically cancel the bet if it isn't matched before the event starts.

Linking Bets to Events

When creating or editing a bet, you can link it to a specific event and runner. This enables:

  • Automatic resulting - pending bets are resulted as Won or Lost when the event concludes.
  • Event analytics - see your performance for a specific event in the event detail view.

Black Book

The Black Book is your personal watchlist of runners - horses, greyhounds, or sport players - that you want to keep an eye on. Whenever a runner in your Black Book is competing, BetTrackr can notify you so you don't miss the event.

Adding Runners

Click Add Runner from the Black Book page to search the runner database by name. Once selected, the sport and (for sport runners) league are filled in automatically. You can add an optional note - form comments, why you're following them, tips from a tipster - for your own reference.

Your Black Book can hold up to 20 runners. Remove a runner any time to free up a slot.

Notifications

Each runner has a notification toggle (the bell icon). When it's on, BetTrackr sends you a notification on the day the runner is next competing, including the event name and start time. You'll receive the notification through whichever channels you've enabled under Notifications (in-app, email, etc.).

Only one notification is sent per runner per event - you won't be spammed if the runner appears in multiple events on the same day.

Viewing a Runner

Clicking a Black Book entry opens a detail view showing the runner's upcoming and recent events, recent results, and any bets you've placed on them. It's a quick way to review form before deciding whether to back them in their next race or match.

Dashboard

The BetTrackr Dashboard is your central hub for tracking and analysing all your betting activity. It's organised into tabs - Overview, Profit, Bonus Bets, and Bookmakers - each providing a different lens on your performance. You can also create custom sections with your preferred widget layout.

Filters

All dashboard data can be filtered to focus on specific subsets of your betting history. Filters can be applied individually or in combination:

  • Period - All Time, Today, This Week, This Month, This Year, Last Week, Last Month, or Last Year.
  • Bookmaker - a specific bookmaker account.
  • Bet Type - e.g. Qualifying, Mug, Bonus, Arb.
  • Bet Tag - any of your custom tags.

If you have a bookmaker context active, the dashboard will automatically filter to that bookmaker.

Key Metrics

The top of the dashboard shows a row of key metrics that update based on your filters:

Profit Total profit across all resulted bets for the selected filters. Profit is calculated per bet based on its status - Won bets earn Stake × (Odds − 1), Lost bets lose the liability, and Cashed Out bets use the cashout amount. For Bonus Bet (SR), won profit is Stake × Odds since the stake is returned. Void, Pending, and all refund statuses (Cash Refund, Bonus Refund, Bonus Cash Refund) contribute $0. For Betfair bets, exchange commission is deducted from winnings automatically.
Balance Your total balance across all bookmaker accounts.
Avg. Daily Profit Average profit per day across the selected period. Calculated over every calendar day in the period - days with no bets count as $0 profit, so this reflects your true daily average rather than only days you were active.
Pending The number of bets currently in Pending status.
ROI Return on Investment as a percentage: Total Profit / Total Staked × 100. Bonus Bet (SNR) and Bonus Bet (SR) bet types are excluded from the staked amount as they do not involve real cash stakes. For Lay bets, the liability is used instead of the stake.
Win Rate Proportion of bets won: Won / (Won + Lost) × 100. Only bets with a Won or Lost status are included - Pending, Void, Cashed Out, Dead Heat, and refund statuses are excluded.
Bonus Retention The percentage of bonus bet value retained as profit, calculated at the Bet Group level: Total Group Profit / Total Bonus Stake × 100. Only groups containing at least two bets (e.g. a bonus bet paired with a lay) are included, and Pending and Void bets are excluded. A solid target is around 70%. Colour-coded based on your retention target.
Mug Bet Rate Proportion of Mug Bets relative to all strategic bet types (Qualifying, Mug, Arb, Promo, and Value bets): Mug Bets / Strategic Bets × 100. Betfair bets are automatically excluded from this calculation. Crucial for bookmaker account sustainability - a higher mug bet rate makes your activity look more like a recreational bettor. Colour-coded based on your mug bet target.
EV Taken Total expected value captured from your bets. Only bets with a manually entered expected value are included in this total. Useful for tracking long-term edge from value and promotional bets.
Avg. CLV Average Closing Line Value - how the odds you took compare to the Betfair Starting Price (BSP), a margin-free closing line. Per bet, back bets beat the line when the odds taken exceed the BSP (Odds / BSP − 1) and lay bets when they are lower (1 − Odds / BSP); these are averaged across the filtered bets. A positive value means you are consistently beating the closing line - a strong long-term edge indicator. Only bets whose selection matches a runner with a reconciled BSP are included, so coverage may be less than your total bet count.
Beat Line % The proportion of bets that beat the closing line - i.e. those with a positive Avg. CLV (Beaten / Total × 100). Uses the same BSP-matched bet set as Avg. CLV. Consistently beating the line on more than half your bets is a sign of genuine edge rather than luck.
Bets Placed Total number of bets tracked in the selected period.
Turnover Total amount staked, excluding Bonus Bet (SNR) and Bonus Bet (SR) bet types as they do not represent real cash outlay.
Avg. Odds Average odds across all bets placed in the selected period.
Avg. Stake Average stake amount per bet in the selected period.
TrackrSlips Shared Number of bets shared via TrackrSlips.
Exposure Total funds at risk from pending bets across all bookmaker accounts. Calculated as the sum of stakes for pending back bets, and Stake × (Odds − 1) for pending lay bets.
Bonus Balance Combined total of SNR (Bonus Balance) and SR (Bonus Cash Balance) across all bookmaker accounts.
Commission Paid Total exchange commission paid on winning bets. Calculated as Profit × (Market Commission − Market Commission × Discount / 100) / 100 for each winning bet with a commission rate set. Displayed as a negative value since it represents money paid to the exchange.
Cashflow Overall deposit-to-withdrawal ratio across all bookmaker accounts: Total Deposited / Total Withdrawn × 100. A higher percentage means you are depositing more than withdrawing, which makes your activity look more like a regular punter. Green (100%+) = healthy. Red (<70%) = heavy withdrawals, may attract attention.

If you have a Profit Goal set, a progress bar will also appear showing your progress toward your current goal with the number of days remaining.

Reports

BetTrackr Reports let you download branded PDF summaries of your betting performance. Reports are a Premium feature and can be accessed from the Reports page in the sidebar.

Report Types

Monthly & Weekly Reports

Generate a PDF report for a specific week or month. Choose from preset periods like This Month, Last Month, This Week, or Last Week, or select a specific month using the date picker. Monthly and weekly reports are generated instantly and downloaded directly to your device.

Annual Reports

Annual reports cover longer periods such as This Year, Last Year, This FY (Australian financial year, July–June), or a specific year. Because these reports can take longer to generate, they are processed in the background and emailed to you as a PDF attachment when ready.

What's Included

Each report includes an overview of your key stats, profit breakdowns, and your top performing and worst performing bets for the period. Annual reports also include a month-by-month performance breakdown. If you use Betfair or place bonus bets, dedicated sections for those are included automatically.

Auto Monthly Reports

BetTrackr can automatically generate and email you a report at the start of each month summarising your previous month's betting activity.

To enable or disable auto monthly reports, go to Account SettingsEmail NotificationsReports. When enabled, you'll receive an email with your report attached as a PDF on the 1st of each month.

If you had no bets for the month, no report will be sent.

Journal

The Journal is a place to record thoughts, reflections, and notes about your betting — how you felt that day, what was working, what wasn't, and any lessons you want to take into the next session. It pairs each entry with the bets you placed on that date so you can review decisions in context.

Adding Entries

Click New Entry to add a journal note. Each entry has:

  • Date — defaults to today, but you can backdate or edit later if you're catching up.
  • Entry text — free-form notes. Anything that helps you reflect: emotional state, strategy notes, observations on a sport or market.
  • Rating — an optional 1–5 star self-assessment of the session. Leave it blank if you don't want to rate.

Reviewing Sessions

Entries are listed newest first and grouped by date. Each date shows a summary of the bets you placed and the day's profit or loss alongside the entry, so you can read your notes next to your actual results. Expand a day to see the full bet table for that date.

Use the Journal to spot patterns over time — weeks where ratings trend down, days where strategy notes line up with losing streaks, or conditions where you do your best work.

The built-in Back/Lay Calculator helps you quickly work out the correct lay stake and expected profit for matched betting. Access it from the Tools section in the sidebar or header menu.

Enter your back stake, back odds, lay odds, and commission rate to instantly see the required lay stake, liability, and expected profit for both qualifying bets and bonus bets (SNR and SR).

Once you're happy with the calculation, you can save the back and lay bets directly - they'll be automatically linked together in a Bet Group so their combined profit and bonus retention are tracked as a pair.

Popout Mode

Any page opened in the side panel - including the Back/Lay Calculator - can be popped out into its own draggable mini window using the button in the panel header. This opens a compact, standalone version of the page in a separate browser window that you can move and resize freely.

This is particularly useful for keeping the calculator visible alongside the main app, a bookmaker site, or Betfair while you work through your bets.

Bet Doctor

The Bet Doctor scans your bets for common issues and discrepancies - like a back and lay bet that should be grouped, or a bet whose dates don't line up with its event - and helps you fix them, often with a single click. Open it from the Bet Doctor link in the sidebar; a red ! badge appears there whenever issues are waiting for your attention.

What the Doctor Checks

Each check is shown as a pill at the top of the page with a badge counting how many bets it found. Select a pill to see the affected bets in a table, with the problem and exactly what would change if you resolve it.

Missing Lay Bet Link A back and lay bet on the same event (or the same selection on the same day) that aren't grouped. Grouping them lets bonus retention be calculated across both legs.
Mismatched Bonus Bet Type A bonus bet whose SNR/SR type differs from its bookmaker's bonus type. The bet can be aligned to the bookmaker automatically. See SNR vs SR.
Missing Event/Runner Link A bet that isn't linked to a runner or event, where a matching runner and event were found. Linking it enables automatic resulting and CLV.
Incorrect Bet Dates A bet placed after, or resulted before, its event date. The dates can be corrected to the event date automatically.
Incorrect Betfair Commission A Betfair bet whose market commission is missing or doesn't match its event. It can be set from the event automatically.

Resolving Issues

For each check you can fix issues a few ways:

  • Resolve All - fixes every bet for the selected check at once.
  • Resolve selected - tick individual bets in the table and use the bulk Resolve action.
  • From the bet itself - when you open a bet that has an issue, the Bet Doctor alert appears on the bet form so you can resolve it in place.

Resolving can touch a lot of data, so it runs in the background - you'll see a progress spinner and the table refreshes automatically when it finishes.

Issue Status

The Status column shows how each issue is handled:

Auto Has a safe, programmatic fix that the Doctor can apply on its own.
Manual Needs your attention - these are sorted to the top of the list.
Suppressed Dismissed so it no longer counts towards the badge. Suppressed bets are hidden by default - turn on Show suppressed to see them.

If an issue is a deliberate choice on your part, select the affected bets and use the bulk Suppress action (or the Suppress option on the bet's Doctor alert) to stop it being flagged.

Auto-fix

Turn on the Auto-fix switch and the Bet Doctor will run periodically in the background, automatically resolving any issues with the Auto status - so your bet data stays clean without you having to visit the page. Manual issues are never changed automatically and always wait for your review.

Profit Goals

Setting profit goals helps you stay focused and motivated by tracking your progress over time. Whether you're betting casually or with a strategy, having clear targets lets you measure success and build better habits.

You can set your profit goals on the Goals tab of your user settings.

Why Set Goals?

  • Stay Accountable: Goals keep you on track and help prevent aimless betting.
  • Measure Performance: Easily see how you’re progressing over a set period.
  • Stay Motivated: Hitting goals feels good and encourages positive momentum.

Goal Periods

You can set goals across the following periods:

All Time Tracks your total profit since you started using BetTrackr.
Weekly Resets every Monday
Monthly Resets on the 1st of every month
Yearly Resets on January 1st of every year

You'll receive email and in-app notifications automatically when each goal period resets. You'll also be notified as soon as you hit your All Time goal. These updates help you stay on top of your performance and celebrate your progress.

Note: You can set the goal value to 0 or blank to disable a particular goal period.

Notifications

BetTrackr sends notifications to keep you informed about your accounts and activity. Notifications appear in-app (via the bell icon) and optionally by email. You can control email notifications globally from the My Account settings page.

Idle Bookmaker Account Alerts

BetTrackr will notify you if you have a bookmaker account holding a cash balance with no bets placed in over 30 days. This is a fund management reminder - it may be worth deciding whether to keep those funds there or withdraw them, as idle money in a bookmaker account isn't earning anything.

These alerts are sent on Thursday mornings and at most once every 30 days per account, so you won't be repeatedly reminded about the same account.

If you intentionally want to keep funds at a bookmaker without being alerted, you can disable this notification for that specific account. To do so, open the bookmaker account, and enable the Ignore Idle Alert toggle.

Expiring Bonus Bet Alerts

If you have a bonus bet or deposit bonus that is expiring within 3 days and hasn't been linked to a bet yet, BetTrackr will send you a reminder. This gives you time to use the bonus before it expires.

Bonus expiry dates are set automatically based on your Bonus Bet Expiry setting when a bonus is created. You can also set the expiry date manually when adding a bonus.

Managing Notifications

Email notifications can be turned off globally from the My Account settings page using the Enable Email Notifications toggle. Individual notification types can also be managed per-account where applicable (e.g. the Idle Bookmaker Account alert).
